Just found this site surfing over at FM... Looks like I've found a new home :)

I'm 'into' road racing with my local Porsche club, and tend to be the event photographer when I'm not racing... Pays for the weekend if I can sell a few shots...
I run the web site for the local chapter of the Mustang club down here in south Texas, as well as play around with the local f-body club.

Just picked up a 20D, I hope that my image quality will pick up a LOT. It will be my first DSLR... I've been using 'higher' end point and shoots set for manual control for a few years now. Previous to that, I was a SLR film guy.

Let me know what you guys think.

I realize that the Porsche would look MUCH better if that hay bail wasn't behind it.

Click the link on this one due to the resolution:

I don't know, 2 of the three make him a target, and him being a newbie, it's enough to make him not post.

We'll just keep it to ourselves.

Sorry, Chris, a little humor at your expense.

The second shot is pretty good and the group shot is nice too. I have to say that the first shot is bad on so very many levels. The pink flood, the pick chicken, the bad lighting and the way too busy wall behind it just makes it a candidate for the round file.

The above comments are my opinion and not the opinion of my sponsors, the bulletin board, the owners of the site, the vistors to this sub forum , the majority of the members of this board or even my wife. Your mileage may vary. Some options not available in California, Massachussetts, the District of Columbia or Kansas. Warranties and discount programs are non-transferrable and can be redeemed for ridicule at the branch nearest you. Void where prohibited by law.

Chris, I was just having fun based upon a topic listed down the list from this one title "Plea for those postings in Sports Section" or something like that. We started a serious discussion and it ballooned out of hand making a major issue out of a simple small and understandable request.

You gotta laugh in these days, or you would just sit around crying about the money we have spent for all this equipment, and how we have hidden the receipts from our wives!!

It's okay, I laugh at my own stuff some times.. and I know about the reciepts.. wife flipped out when she found out that I bought the 20D.

First image is... interesting... it wasn't pink.. the light was red, and the bird was red reflective that looks pink in that shot. It was taken with an S20 years ago. Go figure. Myabe I should post something else ;)

I'll continue to read around here and see if I can come up with some better examples of my work.

I'll take the action thread into account when I post.

Again, taken with my old S20, does this count as action? ;)

I won't post many more 'till my 20D is up and running. I was just looking for some input. Yes, I admit.. it's the first photo forum I've been on in years... Excitement has the best of me.

*all* of my shots, minus the above group shot are straight out of the camera. No PS on any of them.
