Don't feel bad Rob, it's late. I rarely get any commets too.
They look like they're cropped too large. Who makes that 90-300 and did you use it for most of your shots?

I do not feel bad, I was just curious :D The 90-300 is a Canon EF Lens, I suppose its an older model that I've got as a gift but I must say its not too bad, and I actually use it a lot in this type of shots, mostly handheld if there is enugh light available. And yes, probably the pics are cropped too large :)

Here is the 90-300 @90 and @300, fully extended. Funny object, but it works fine.

One thing that I found out a long time ago about wildlife...

Try to get a reflection in the animal's eyeball.

I realize that sometimes this is impossible. Sometimes the animal has a very dark eye. Sometimes the sky is dark and you can't see the reflection. Sometimes the animal is uncooperative.

However, if you ever want to sell your photos, they will sell better if you can see that reflection. By the same token, some photographers will edit the image and "doctor up" the eye reflection to the point where it seems artificial. Sometimes, just lightening the light eye ring around a bird's eye helps.

Thanks to all. The eye reflection is an interesting matter, if only the animals would be a little more cooperative :-) But a touch of PSCS will help... Got to try that.

Try to get a reflection in the animal's eyeball. Great idea, Bob. You wouldn't have any examples you'd like to share?
