I have been wanting to sell stock images for quite some time but never really tried to actively do so. I am not very good at negotiating and was hoping some of you might be able to help.

A web designer from out west saw some of my images of a local historic event on my photography site's blog. From what I gather, she is updating a non profit website. It is a historical type website that has chapters in different regions.

I am not sure if she is wanting to use them for free or not. She writes... "These photos are such high quality, we would like to know if we can obtain the rights to use some of them on their website. I am sending you an example of how the photos would be used. Your photo credit would remain as you see it and could become a link to your website."

Do you think she is asking to use them for free? Sure, I would love for my images to be up there but not really for free! The credit is nice but I don't know that people will beat down my doors due to the credit. I'd probably just get someone else wanting something for free. lol

Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!!

Karen
