The first one doesn't really do anything for me - it is really busy with nothing to grab your attention. Conversly, the second on does illicit a pause due to the unusuall lighting you captured. As an urban day-in-the-life type shot, I think it works.

Like the second, tells us more on what camera and lens you use. I like hearing details, and what where you trying to capture on this?
