I'm considering getting this printed to leave at the studio for when people come in to see what portrait work I do: http://www.m3imagery.com/books/BeforeAndAfter.pdf (http://www.m3imagery.com/books/BeforeAndAfter.pdf)
I wouldn't mind hearing some opinions. I have time to replace any photos that don't seem to look good or aren't that dramatic of a change.
Thanks

Wow....you guys ^^^^^^ must be on dial-up!!!
So, to the OP, are you into make-up, or photography, or both?
Any which way, I'm half impressed and half scared. But that's of little consequence because your book certainly shows massive "improvement" on most of the original shots.
If it's what the client wants to look like "after", then I'd say you're onto a winner.
And good luck with the studio.

Yeah, for some reason it was taking a long time on IE8 for me but in FireFox it opened right up. I'm not sure why that is. It's just a 30MB PDF.

Ok, I have a feeling it's really slow in IE8 but fast in IE7 and FireFox. Any idea why this is? Can you reply to this letting me know what browswer (and version) you're using and how long it took? I want to look into this. It displayed in 3 seconds in my firefox browser and 6 seconds in IE7 but did take a long time in IE8 for me.

Okay, I happened to be using Opera 9.62 and the link was (and is) ridiculously slow. I also just tried it now with IE8 and FireFox -- both of these browsers brought up the pdf within a couple of seconds. Go figure. Opera generally handles pdf just fine, but for some reason balks at this one -- at least mine does.

Firefox - Super fast.
About the book, it's not my cup o tea, so I won't comment beyond that.

I think it's worth doing. Some of the shots seem a little soft, and some seem to have been pushed a little far, but it gives a good idea of what can be achieved. ;)

I think that would be a great addition to have. I do agree that some pictures appear a bit too soft, but overall your work is really amazing!
I'm sure you could always go a bit more realistic too. Then people can see the range of retouching you can do. Either way, I would definitely get it printed. It shows a whole different side than just photography.

Wasn't too bad on IE8 here.
FWIW, I'm not a big fan of skin smoothing but if its what the client wants, then smooth away.
