Today after dinner, there's still some sunlight. So I went to a pond nearby thinking to shoot some mallards. But I saw this cutie (#1) which i have no idea what her name is. I tried to get as close as possible but could only get to a certain distance. Then i saw her froze for two minutes (#2). I was like "is she meditating or something?" Of course i couldn't be happier cuz that made my job easier. Right after i took the 3rd shot, choooopppp! she stuck her head into water and caught a fish. When i was ready to take a picture of that, she already swallowed the whole fish. I was like :-? Dang, i just missed that! Then she walked really sloooowwwww to the opposite side. Like doing tai-chi walk. I thought "Oppssss...she spotted me. That's why walked so slow". But actually she was ambushing a dragonfly. Another choooopppp she ate it, swallowed, done. I was like :-? I believe any wildlife experienced photog for sure can capture those two moments w/o a sweat.
I guess there's a loooong way to learn for noob like me.

Anywayz, sorry for the long boring story.

It's a heron, maybe a black crested heron.

Nice shots cfc. I guess boosting up contrast & saturation a bit will make them look lot better ...
