Took this one with the EF 100 2.8 Macro lens we have. Does the DOF work? I think it just about looks 3D.

Comments welcome :)

And a 100% crop from the camera. No USM or other post processing. Love that EF100mm macro lens Canon makes!

Very good shot and I think the DOF works for it. Better than the others you showed. I like the crop of the 2nd image as well.

good shot Ken. the 100 is my main flower lens too. hope to see some roses blooming around here soon. Thanks Eric. Yes, time for the roses to start blooming again. We will have to keep an eye on The Bush rose garden (where these were taken) and get some nice shots this year. Some roses are so beautiful!

Beautiful! I think you have got this post-processing thing down pretty good. Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed it. I think post-processing is a continuously ongoing learning experience. I know I am just starting to learn Photoshop a little bit, barely learning what some of the tools do. Very interesting program for sure! Sometimes my photos look ok, and other times I just can't seem to make it "happen". Maybe a couple more years of learning will help :)

MikeThanks Mike, glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the 100% crop shows some of the subtle detail doesn't it! Alas, I never made it up there to see the Air Show :( You have some nice shots on your website of the 2002 one. Thanks for sharing them.
