Hi folks,
So I'll be shooting my first music festival this week-- Bonnaroo, in Manchester, Tenn. It's for a newspaper, and I'll be blogging daily, conducting interviews with artists, and of course, taking plenty of photographs.
Unfortunately, the weather calls for rain, storms, and presumably... plenty of mud. I'm bringing my new Rebel and 3 lens-- 25-135mm, 70-200mm, and a fisheye. I will also have my MacBook in tow. Two questions to pose for you guy concerning the inevitable elements:
1.) What is the best way to protect my equipment? Currently, my plan is to stuff my photo-bag in my backpack (yes, it's a large backpack) to add an extra layer of protection when I walk around. But when I take them out, I only have plastic garbage bags. Not looking good for the MacBook either.
2.) How can I get creative using the rain? Any setting/processing tips? I want to get a lot of crowd shots to go along with the artists. I have a press pass, but it won't let me in the pit. So I'll be shooting pretty far back with the wet masses.
So excited about the festival no matter what happens. Thanks so much everybody!
