This image of the Full Moon (well, almost full - it was 99% illuminated) was taken on the 8th May 2009, using my Canon 20D attached to my ED80.

I took 136 photos @ ISO100, 1/125s exposure. All photos were stacked in Registax. The image was processed in Photoshop to reveal the different compositions of the geological formations on the Moon.

Even at 600mm, the moon didn't take up much of the field of view. I need more focal length!

Those are real colours on the moon, just boosted in saturation.

I did the same thing about a year ago. It is pretty cool.

Hmmm, this is pretty cool! I'll have to check out the link that demonstrates how to do this.

Now THAT is a nice shot Mike. The little bright impact craters look great as does the increased contrast of the sulphur-rich areas.
