Very nice ! Sharp and focus seems to be right on . I saw that late last night when i was outside imaging . Came up around 11:00pm here :( . DSOs' need moonless nights for better imaging.

That's a really nice shot. I saw it coming up over the trees last night about 1:00 AM and thought it looked very inviting, but I had to be at work in the morning.

Is this a 100% crop? What lens did you use?

Mounted on a tripod, I used a 40D w/Sigma 120-300 f/2.8, Sigma 1.4x and 2x TC's stacked, manual focus, manual exposure, ISO 400, 1/125 sec @ f/7.1. Live View was used to focus, mirror lockup and Phottix wireless remote to fire the shutter.

It's cropped some but not much. It was a landscape mode picture to start with.
