Up close of my daughter Taylah, age 9. I like this one, I think its sweet. Comments always welcome!

Great eye contact, she does seem pretty good at this. I'm lucky if my I can even get my daughter to face my direction...but she's only 3 so I'll give her some leave-way, lol.

I'm sorry, but I completely disagree. The stray hair really works with this photograph.

Thanking you all for your comments, its very much appreciated! Her nickname is "miss drama queen", she loves being on that side of the camera! She see's a camera,she turns on the charm lol She goes in and out of character all day long! A fun kid to have around!

Wonderful, skade! She's a natural allright ... and if you hadn't said she was 9 I would have guessed 12-13. Keep an eye on that one ... she has a mischievous look in her eye :)

Very nice natural shot..I can't see anything wrong with the odd stray folicle or two myself.

Nice shot Skade. I have to take Carzee's side on the wisp of hair though. I don't mind it being there but I'd have preferred it not covering her pupils. IMHO The eyes are usually the best communicators...

Yes indeed a very sweet photo. The fact you were close enough to show the freckles adds to the sweet innocence of the entire photo. Nice one.

The hair makes the photo in my opinion. Without it, the shot would be ok, but this one is great.

I don't mind the hair, but it seems to be the nose and lips that are the main subject here. My eyes keep going right to them. I think it might be because it's an extreme close up or something. Anyone else notice that. Just open the pic and let your eyes fall naturally on it. It's weird, I have to force myself to look up to her eyes. Maybe a higher point of view would have worked better for me. IMHO.

No I havent looked into the modeling yet. She is doing Performing Arts and singing lessons at the moment. Man can she sing!! lol But she has 2 older cousins aged 21 & 23 (sisters) who are pro models. One does mostly shoots for body building mags (stunning & one hell of a body!), and the other is mostly a fashion/hair model... She has a photo going in the Marie Claire mag next month. Not sure if its a well known mag world wide, but is well known in Australia. So im hoping Taylah will follow in their footsteps lol

And ... now you mention your daughters cousins ... you must be a very lucky amateur photographer with so many opportunities in your vicinity. And yes, Marie Claire is a renowned fashion magazine worldwide (as far as I as a man can judge that :wink: ).
