Hey everyone, I noticed that most monolights are 120v for use in the US. Is there any monolight that is reasonably priced that can do both 120v and 220v? I am asking because I am planning on taking it to foreign countries and they often use 220v. I checked the alienbees units and they are all 120v. Thanks everyone!

Elinchrom will do?

Working Voltage: 170v - 260v AC/50hz

I dont think that will work...because in the US, it seems like 110-120 is required...

if you go to europe once a year, ask someone there you know to get voltage converter about 500W - enough for two ab800s

Try Profoto, they make strobes that will do both 120v and 220v.

The new Alienbees MAX is supposed to be 90-260 VAC. But they're vaporware at the moment, supposed to be released in July.

Thanks for all the great pointers! The new alienbees sound great, I think it is everything that I need since I am using cybersyncs right now.
