Portrait Charges

Hi all, I am new to the forum. :lol:

I was wondering if you think $50 for a portrait session is too low or just right. I just started business, but have been taking pictures for a while. I don't want to do it for free, but do not want to charge as much as some pros that have been doing this for a long time and do it well.

I know it's hard to say yes or no without seeing quality, but I'm just looking for whether I am within range or if I am ruining our business into a commodity :p

Too low unless you're doing it to build up a portfolio, but in all honesty it's too low. I think 80-150 would be more reasonable for a minimum

Though, in all reality it depends on you and what your finances can allow...remember you have to pay your business and your tax if you want to keep your head above water :lol:
