View Full Version : Excited for a Comcast commercial!

Hey everyone,
Comcast just called with some great news for me, my pictures will air on comcast TV in the philadelphia/ new jersey (middlesex, hunterdon county and a few other townships) on the discovery channel, cartoon network, animal planet and a few other channels over the next month and a half. I shoot for a company (Delaware River Tubing, INC.) and they got ahold of some of my pictures and decided to make a commercial with 3-4 of my pictures in it. Not sure how it'll turn out, but I just got the news and will be viewing a 30 second clip sometime this week. My guess is that it'll be based on the delaware river itself with people tubing/ rafting and kayaking. I guess im just excited to see some of my work officially published. I'll post the pictures on here later when I find out which ones they used (they took a disk with like 100 pictures on it). Also for all you i-95 drivers out there in the philadelphia area, look for delaware river tubings billboard, my picture is the background for it.

Ahh my 15 minutes of fame on TV lol.

$500 for comcast (shot on my own time), the billboard shot was on works time, but they paid for my 70-200 this year :)

Edit- didnt plan to sell anything, just a hobby of mine. on the other hand, my work pays for gear and i shoot for free (then of course i work a management position full time for them as well)

Congrats. I get tired of the " I got published and they paid me nothing" posts. Hopefully it will turn into more then 15 min.

Congrats! I guess im just excited to see some of my work officially published. I get more excited when the check clears! ;)

Exactly Frank. People need to stop giving images away to publications for nothing more then the honor of being published. It isn't an honor, your just being a fool and being taken advantage of. Rant over. Congrats once again Matt.
