Why'd you shoot manual? For the inside photo, looks like you just needed a higher shutter speed. The blur could have been avoided if you had set it in Tv or Av mode with you're 50mm 1.8. Indoors, i'd say aim for about 1/60 sec, or at bare minimum use the 1/focal lenth rule. (1/50 sec on the 50mm)

Keep playing with the settings until you figure things out. ;)

I see you have the indoor shot at iso 200 and the aperture at 7.1 with a .4sec shutter speed....
Take a shot like that again with your 50mm at iso400-800 with an aperture of somthing like 2.8 or slightly higher, and you probably will get a better result.

The real problem is there isn't enough light to get an adaquate shutter speed.

1/25 is still slow, and without adaquate light on the subject indoors, it's going to be hard to get the result you're aiming for.

Don't be afraid to bump up the ISO. You've got an XT, those handle high ISO really well. If you had shot at ISO800 or ISO1600 it may have been easier.

Thanks...I was afraid to use the flash off the camera

Will try some more pics later, time to go to work and pay

for this hobby!
