Canon A590IS folder naming

Hi there!
I have a question: is it possible to make the camera name folder so that it contains the date when the photo was taken? To put it simpler - is it possible to catalogue photos by date on the memory card? :)
I download photos directly from the mc, so it would be extremely useful.

Not in-camera. But the time and date for each picture are embedded in that picture's EXIF data so can be used later for creating those filters. IIRC using Zoom Browser may let you do this even via card reader. I know that Breeze Systems' Downloader Pro, which I use, can do this (and use many other bits of EXIF data) to seamlessly create directories or rename files as you download them.
