Ok, you guys are going to laugh at me for this, but I am stoked. After asking questions and reading posts, I finally got a chance to try some of the tips posted here.

I have never really photographed nature stuff and There are no waterfalls around here but there is a creek that swells when it rains. As soon as the rain stopped, I braved the hordes of insects and briar patch to try out what I had learned.

Ok, so it is not a great example like the spectacular waterfalls that you folks have posted, but I like it. :p

Ok, back in my hole now. :o

I really like it, nice job. Imagery in the water is terrific...

Wow, not the gales of laughter or the snorts of derision that I expected. Thanks!:D

I think it's fantastic! Just as good as any other water fall photo I've seen here, and that's not even a water fall.

Very nice. I was thinking, as the pic loaded, how nice a low shot like this would look. Then up pops a great example. I like the way your POV distorts the scale of the creek. Could be huge; could be a trickle. Cool.

Great shot. You can almost hear the water rushing along there !

Why would anyone have laughed? This is a great shot and some of the colours looks like a painting more than a photo. Maybe try and move the branches in the right of the shot next time. Good work.

Well done. You learned your lessons well. I like the perspective. It looks like some cool rapids.
