I got my daughter with a legit classic Lyla smile, and it is OOF! I am trying to hard to get the hang of this nifty fifty lens!!!! Any input? Help me! Also, she has some food on her chin that looked awful when i tried to clone it out, any takers lol!?

There is no exif information on the image. It would help a bunch to have that information.

Cloning to clean the chin and lots of unsharp mask. If you're using apertures in the f/1.8 to f/2.5 range, focusing errors are exaggerated. Try 2.8-3.5 and if the shutter speed is too slow, increase the ISO.

It may help to understand if you put this into perspective. If you are using a crop camera and you are at f/1.8 and 4 feet from the subject you have about 1.5 inches to play with. That would be .75" of front focus and .75" of back focus. As you can see if you move slightly and your subject moves slightly it is real easy for things to fall out of focus. Things can really go bad if you are focusing and then recomposing. So there are several factors here. It would help to have more information on how you took the photo. Did you use a tripod or recompose? What were the camera settings?
