View Full Version : Vivitar 2800 Adjustable Power?

Just wondering if I can adjust the power on this flash, I plan to use it as a secondary off camera flash but I've read on some threads that you can't adjust the power, while on others they say it is possible to?

I plan to use a couple of Ebay triggers to fire it with the main flash.

I think you can modify it if you're good electrically speaking (probably not, since you have to ask!). As-is you cannot adjust it.

It will fire at full power when not in the auto modes or you can get creative with gels and/or using the auto modes to your advantage.

Thanks for that, the thread was informative too.

A soldering iron and I do not mix well.....so I think I might buy one for back lighting or something like that.
