I was finally persuaded to shoot some senior pictures - these are from my first effort. Edited subject to clarify which variety of senior.

Nice shots! And a pretty girl to boot... I thought, when I read the thread title, that you were talking senior citixens, not high-school seniors!

Very nice shot shots. Very pretty lady. Not the type of senior that came to mind.

These look really good. Looks like you have a new job. The only thing I see is the cropping on the last one. Plus that fact that she is sitting between the rails - not a good place to be sitting. Pictures are really very nice. And a very pretty girl. Funny, I don't remember seniors looking like this when I was one....

Eyes and teeth of gold. Her confidence is announced. She will go far...

Your artistry pronounces her charm MT. Very, very well done.

Thanks for the compliments - the credit should go entirely to this young lady - she made me look good not the other way round.

RFM - oddly enough, I ended up taking her senior pictures primarily because I shot her playing basketball orginally.

Someone has been very quiet about shooting portraits...HMMMMMMMMMM....Well done, but what else can one expect?

I love all of the shots! Well done.

Lovely pictures. Just the thing that I like to do. What kind of camera and lens?

Ahh, I remember my first senior . . . but that is a different story from many years ago.

Excellent shots. I especially like the choice of location for the last shot (sitting in between rails). What an interesting image - it has a slight element of danger, evokes travel and adventure, and is pregnant with choices about direction and destination. Maybe even an allusion to Seuss' "Oh, The Places You'll Go" (a favorite book gift for graduates) is contained therein. (sorry about the use of the word "therein"; I am an attorney and cannot help but lapse into this stilted professional writing prop) (sorry, too, about excessive use of parentheticals) (no, I am not a comedian; yes, I will keep my day job).

Great job, I have got my first one coming up and I am a little nervous, but I can only hope to get a senior that is confident as this one. Keep up the good work. Are you going to do any digital enhancements? That is the craze these days.

Very lovely young lady! My favorite is the third, which is very odd coming from me -- someone who almost always chooses color over b&w...

Also, for some reason, I knew exactly what to expect from the thread title. I don't know why.

okay - you don't do this more often why? you did a great job with a very lovely subject. Her parents must of loved them.. if they didn't - they have problems.

i like them but the shot of her sitting on the train tracks makes me feel uncomfortable. and it's a good shot too, just the location freaks me out.
