Finally did it!

I finally went out and bought a Digital Rebel XT. I have been debating the XT, The 20D or the REbel and a new lens. I've lost sleep over it!

I decided the XT was my choice, so I went out and bought it. Great little camera, definately smaller than I had expected but it fits nicely in my hand.

The lens craving is starting to kick in and I've only had it for 50 minutes!

Congratulations! Excellent choice in my unworthy opinion. I love mine. Had it a total of about 3 weeks and just ordered my first "L" lens. It's addictive... :D

I just took a look at the pictures I took on the computer for the first time. The quality is INSANE! I'm in shock at how good this little baby works.

I already made room for my new L lens. Just phoned and had the guy at the store order one in, so It should be mine in a few weeks! :D

Uh oh, I've had it for about a hour and a half and I already ordered a new lens! This isnn't good ;)

I ordered the 70mm-200mm F/4 L. One of the guys on here just got it and I was pleased with the results... so I decided thats the one. Cant wait to use it... I took a few pictures today. Although it's been raining and very dark and cloudy.

I'll post some pictures later on.

Hey Michael, your not alone :) Bought mine 2 days ago at Henry's in Ottawa, with a battery grip, the "nifty fifty", and a Sigma 70-300 APO.

Its been raining since though :confused:

That's the same one I ordered yesterday! can't wait for it to get here :D You are going to want to get the battery grip, it is a great accessory and mine stays on the camera 24/7.

if you got the F4 then you're on a happy shiny road, but just better hope the dark clouds clear or you'll be after the Canon f2.8 next :lol: :lol: :lol: or the equally good Sigma f2.8 if you value your credit rating!

I echo the grip suggestion for the dinky 350. it's too small as it is for anything other than the 50mm II :lol:

Hope you enjoy XT as much as I have enjoyed my 300D. The L fever has struck me also, but have to get my daughters tuition paid first.

It's been raining here too! I even got off work early today to go shooting.. It was all nice and sunny, as soon as I get in my car it starts to HAIL!

Ah well, There'll be other days.
