Ferdinand, you have done a magnificent job of capturing one of Earth's special places. Both color and B & W shots are outstanding. I bow in the presence of greatness.

Thanks sparker1, and I thank Mother Nature for such a magnificent place. Here's a photo the flower blooming along HWY 140 going into Yosemite NP.

Simply breathtaking shots. I'm not a big fan of B&W shots but even those are beautifully done.

Oh I don't know.
I guess they're kinda alright...if awe-inspiring landscapes, good composition, and excellent post-processing are your thing
...hey, somebody's got to keep you "a cut-above" photogs humble. :-)

That was a treat! Can't look at that first B&W without thinking of Ansel Adams.

That's exactly who I thought of also. Great pictures, I loved the shot of El Capitan and the capture of the flowers is just perfect.

You guys are too kind :) I really appreciate your comment, and it makes the effort I took worthwhile.
I doubt I am any where near the Master Photograher of Yosemite, but thanks :)

Man, I so want to go to Yosemite!
Drove past it on the way to CO the year before last, and we'll be bypassing it again this year!
This year will hopefully be worthwhile though, we're heading out to Glacier National Park in Montana! I'm very excited!

mdclaros, GTogs, sorry I totally forgot about it, conversion was done in PS using the Channel Mixer technique.
You just create a layer Channel Mixer click on Monochrome to get your grayscale, and then work with the R, G, B channel to get the mix you like. Oh before you start go to the colour version and then go to Channel and look at R, G, B and see which one has the most detail, that is the channel you want to maintain and pay importance to.
