Northern Cardinal

I'm hoping for much better, but many of us appear to be having great difficulty getting cardinal shots ... so what the heck, why not post it? This guy landed near my feeder ... probably right at the minimum focus distance of my 400/5.6. He landed ... I focused and shot as quickly as possible ... and he left. No time to worry about composition or much of anything. Had to crop out part of the feeder from the left side of the image.

How does the color look on your monitors? It looked good on my laptop, but here on the desktop it looks over-saturated.

I chased one today with my viewfinder all over the front yard, and have nothing but blurry images to show for it. Nice catch!

It looks great Jay,. both on an uncalibrated monitor (ie: more like the averadge viewers monitor settings which are usually too much contrast and too blue) ...and on the calibrated one.. so it should be fine.

Wow!! That's a truly beautiful bird, I saw alot of them last summer in Pittsburgh, Shendley park and around town. I wish we had them here. Great pic.
