Some context.
This first shot is to show the daughter, who is severely handicapped. She had been wheelchair bound until she started therapy with "Ahead With Horses" which is a foundation that does physical therapy with children on horses.
The second shot, Mother's Pride, is the girl in red's mother. I figured it out when I saw her watching intently, and wiping tears away. It's not the best shot, as I was trying to not intrude, but it says something about this mother, her feelings about her child, and her pride in her little girl's accomplishments.
Enjoy!

now that's POWERFUL... i think you've successfully accomplished what a photo is supposed to do, and that's capture the moment to tell a story and spark emotion. Thank you for sharing!!!

 Thank you, Mark. I was hoping it translated, but wasn't sure. I'm glad you see what I saw.
The shot was awkward, to say the least, because she was somewhat above and behind me....and I hoped she was so intent on her child's performance that she wouldn't notice me turning around with the camera on my face, taking her photo. She didn't, I got several, and this is the best of the 4.
thanks for looking, and I **really** appreciate the compliment.

I Really like that second shot!
Me too. The first one was posted to show context, not my photography skills...but her profile is really nice.
I know where she and her daughter participate in the therapy, but I don't know their name. I'm thinking of printing out the second shot, and giving a copy to the foundation asking them to pass it on. Anyone have thoughts about that?

The glint in the mother's eye is just so great! You can just feel the emotion. Thank you for sharing that.

Thanks for the compliment.
I don't know the lady, and she disappeared before I could get her information (I tried to get to her after her daughter's part, but couldn't get her attention.) but I do know the foundation's location. I was thinking of printing up and 8 1/2x11 and bringing it to them, and having them forward it to her. I think she'd appreciate it, as well.
Thanks for looking, and Crusher, you're right - that little glint, the sheen of a tear, makes the shot even more evocative.
