I am remodeling my garage into a photo studio/office. it is about 21'x20' with 8.5' ceilings. I do not know what color to paint the ceiling. The walls are going to be a greyish color and not sure to go white or black on the ceiling.... What do you have or think and why? Thanks so much for the input!

Roof could go Black.. and walls, paint them white.. with few lighting techniques they'll go Black or grey pretty easily.

i would paint my walls grey somewhere in the 30-40% range. for the roof, i would do a darker grey (70-80%) to avoid ambience or bouncing.

also make sure that you use flat wall paint as other latex varieties will cause much reflection

Studio for WHAT? For portrait work, I'd paint the walls & ceiling white. Then you can use them to bounce off for large groups.
For product shots where you need to control reflections, only black would work for me.
