This type of vignetting (to me) is used to help bring focus to the center of the shot. He is underexposed which is fine butt not if your vignetting the outside of the frame like you did. It brings much more focus on the brighter sky that is in the middle and thus becomes your subject.
I would like to see you remove the vignetting and brighten him up just a tiny tinny bit to bring focus back to him.

I agree that maybe the vignetting is a little too much, maybe just a tiny edge burn would be better. He is a tad underexposed. I think I'd prefer a crop (or better yet original composition) where the subject is a little more of the total frame. Close enough that you see a little more detail in his face and in the horn. I would retain the use of the negative space and the amazing sky, but just emphasis the man just a bit more.

Great concept... really suggests a space being occupied or lit up by the music, and I like that the man is simply the instrument of that act rather than the subject in himself. Subtle but integral. It's also interesting that you've placed him so far in to the scene: the space behind him draws attention - mixing in a bit of edginess and discord. Guess it all depends what fits your vision, but this hangs together for me.

Cheers, Tony
