Late evening on the North Devon (UK) coast.

Just hope I captured what I saw. 400D - Sigma 70-70.

Pretty noisey. turn the iso down a notch to give a smoother image.

I'm not seeing the noise as distracting at all, there is not much of it. Wonderful light, really makes a special image.

The photo is very, very nice. Peaceful looking and splendid tone. I see the noise only if I zoom 200-300% -- then it's bad -- but at the posted resolution it looks just fine to my eyes.

Thank you guys - my first attempt at this sort of thing.
The sun was very low with clear sky in front of the fisherman, in the background a storm was brewing.

I also think it works as a portrait crop because the lighting on the fisherman is so fabulous.

I like.

Cool colors & reflection.

Would it be weird to increase the contrast of the fishing line slightly so it'd be more visible? That might make the photo worse -- just a suggestion :)

EDIT: I am now on my calibrated monitor and the line is more visible.

I like this shot a lot! I love how you managed to capture that special light. Als very nice composition with the reflection in the water. The noise is a bit much up there but altogether really nice job!
