I made the trek from Norfolk to North Yorkshire - 5am start, arrived around 9.40am. Nice to meet up with some forum regulars again. Glorious weather until 4pm Sunday when a light shower interuppted proceedings...
Nice to meet Simon Harrison and GSH.

1 & 7 are top quality :)
It looks like your 50D suffers from the same issue as mine in bright sunlight Andrew. The whites look really bright (Persil?). I find that shooting 1/3 or 2/3 under helps and you can pull it back in PP if necessary.
It's also worth turning Highlight Tone Priority and the Auto Lighting Optimizer off.

HTP and ALO were turned off a while ago...

1 is an astonishing shot in the low light,it really pops for colour and contrast and the water and lighting make a great shot.
7 is a great capture perfectly executed in all departments.
If 8 was a tad sharper would be superb. You dont often see totally airborn single seaters.
Cracking series with loads of interesting variation .
Gives a proper flavour of the event.

Thanks for all the comments.
The last one was shot at 1/125 as I was trying to achieve another type of shot, then noticed that chap cutting the chicane...

Number one is a cracking shot Andrew, didn't even notice the wonky horizon on number 2 ;) The whites do seem a bit blown on a couple of them but all in all a good set.
Cheers

Was still at the repairers... They're fitting a new focus motor and PCB to it. Was a chance it could have been ready last week, but it wasn't to be...
My mileage has gone through the roof this season, there is something to be said for being resident at Snetterton!

Have got my passport ready for Cadwell on Saturday Andrew. Will be most odd seeing trees and those strange 'hill' things in a picture !! Not used to that. Bad luck on the lens front. Hope its back with you soon.
