Can't find Lee stuff anywhere and need a system for a trip - Going to get a Cokin Z Pro adapter and was hoping to fill it with Lee filters, but everything is backordered - How is Hitech compared to Lee - quality the same as some say?

Been using Hitech filters for years, and just don't see a need to "upgrade" for the sake of upgrading. Very good filter...people looking at your images will never know if you took it with a Hitech, a Lee, or a Singh-Ray. Don't sweat it. Too bad about not being able to get lee holder, but the Z-Pro should suffice in a pinch (although vignetting is an issue with it, more so than the Lee).

and should the Hitech filters fit in the Cokin Z pro holder? Cokin says it takes from 1.6mm on up and the Hitech's are 1.5 - pretty small difference but I still don't want to buy a bunch and have them falling out! Thanks for your help -

I had the Z-Pro before changing over to the Lee holder...personally, I've never had a problem with Hitechs falling out of either. Then again, YMMV.

There is a set of Lee ND grads for sale on Ebay right now! They are from a shop in Hong Kong at a reasonable Buy It Now price. I am in no way connected to them, but thought if you have tried the shops this would be the next best option.
Good luck, I just picked up a set of Lee GND's and am looking very forward to playing with them on my summer travels.
