backdrop and muslin setup help please!

I just purchased a new backdrop setup and a muslin cloth but no instructions came on how to attach the muslin! Need a quick tip, please!:confused:

Go to wallmart and buy 4 of the plastic spring clamps.

Attach it to what? Do you need grommets? (Hardware store)
Permanent attachment? Temporary?

Also, the muslin should have a sleeve for the rod to slide through but the clamps are more convenient.
