Is the apple in the foreground in focus? Like to see the colored version, or a contrasty B&W maybe?

I think the b&w treatment takes away from the appetizing appeal of the fruit.

I've seen some other work done of rotting fruit done in b&w that built on the idea of the decay but not sure if this is what you intended here?

The composition is good though! That, I do like. ;)

Cheers!

Agree with Gail re focus/DOF... I think they should all be focused too. The post-processing treatment makes the top left look cloudy/foggy... interesting to mix that in with such subject matter and at this scale. The strangest thing for me though is the tonal merger of bitten apple and background, with part of the edge becoming indistinct... this encourages the eye in and out of the apple, not quite sure which is which. If that element is intentional or a serendipitous bonus in your view, then it's working well, otherwise maybe it's too strong?

Cheers, Tony
