Got it now, I like it. A bit more saturation to make the water pop and it would be great.

I like it, but have a couple thoughts. I like how the top of the dam separates the calm and rough water. I think it might be improved if you had gotten that from more of an angle and if that part of the dam traversed more of the frame. Bumping up the saturation would be nice too as was suggested prior.

All in all a well shot scene, very nice!

I like the idea - I would just loose some of the background - I don't feel it adds anything to the image and detracts. But looks like a cool area to try some stuff.... keep it up.

Thanks to all for the replies.

I've followed the advice that most said and turned up the saturation. I think it makes a better photo but loses some of the spirit I was trying to capture. This is a rather desolate area, the NJ Pinelands. Gotta work on translating the beauty I see in the sparseness into a good photo :)

I think intechpcx remark about changing the angle was GREAT advice but the shots I have that do that suck. Note to self: if your gonna take all those shots rotating one way, take a few rotating the other way!
