I spent most of today at Outlon Park watching the British Superbikes and other supporting races.
It's the first time I've been to a bike event - The acceleration, speed and bravery of the riders was awesome.

Nice shots, particularly #2. It's a pity #3 has the top of his helmet sliced off. That spoils that one for me. The rest are great though, you have the shutter speed just about perfect.

Great shots.... #2 is great, captured well, but I like the last one the most because of the colour contrasts of the bike and rider. Good stuff.

Wow - In most of those pictures the front wheel is off the ground.

These are great. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite because they are all so good.

It's a pity #3 has the top of his helmet sliced off. I don't know, to me it seems more action filled because of the cut offs of the helmet and back wheel. Like the kind you'd see on a trading card or poster. I personally like every one of them! :)

Thanks for your comments :)

The riders just wouldn't stop pulling wheelies - I got loads of shots like this.

i like em. the close crops with bits missing of the bikes or rider dont bother me none. it gives them a real 'powerful' feel to them...especially #3. front wheel off the ground, background blurring by and the crop just gives the shot a raw, powerful, animalistic feel to it. like the bike is just ripping up the pavement and the camera can feel the power and cannot capture that raw power in an ordgansied way. excellent stuff!!

okay, dumb question: Does that small knee pad thing drag on the ground when they lean the bike over?

Wow. They're all great but #1 gets my vote. I love the colors. #4 is pretty freakin' hot, also.
