Do any of you compress the images that your clients receive on DVD?

I typically pass 600-700 images to the client. Uncompressed, that no longer fits on even two DVD's. When I compress a jpg, say even by 90% and go from 15mb/image down to 1.5mb/image, I don't see any difference in quality. Putting all the images on one DVD would help me with the packaging I prefer, and make viewing them easier for the client, but am I giving them a lesser product this way? Thoughts?

I shoot in raw (10 mp) and when I saved them for the client, I save them in jpg, high quality. I try to have files that are between 5 to 8 mb in size. anything over that amount will most likely be downsized by the photolab for print.

Q10 jpeg 3000x2000 is more than enough. The average size of my 40D full res Q10 jpegs is 1.7MB, they'd print fine to 50" wide. TIFF etc are unnecessary.
