As my graduation present I wanted to go to NYC for a few days, everytime I had been there I wasn't really able to spend any time shooting pictures so this time I set a about 6 hours out so I can just walk around and shoot. I have never really shot any street photography before so this is more of a learning experience. I also still have a phobia of taking pictures of random people so that is why most people are turned away, I am just happy I took pictures of people at all. C&C please.

^I like the bokeh in the forground so thats probably a personal preference. I think my fav shot is the one in central park?

Nice series. 4 is my favorite. 5 is nice, too, but might work better if you cropped in from the bottom right to get rid of the shadow areas.

1 and 2 dont do much for me. especially, the puddle in 2.

3 is fine, but i wonder if it wouldnt be better as a vertical?

i love 4, foreground bokeh be damned. nice use of dof, imo.

i stared at 5 for a good while. it's a very capturing shot. maybe the best of the series.

but, i really like 6, too. the pillars really help the scene. and, the two guys just sitting do the same thing as the girl in 4. they give the shot a dose of "life." i would be disappointed in myself in the same opportunity because i would take the shot w/o the people and get home and toss it because it just looked "dead."

and, 7 doesnt do it for me, either. i like graffiti, but the two you have dont do much for me for some reason.

overall, a productive 6 hours, though. you have some talented shots in here.

The girl is in 5 Chopper. ;)

I quite like this series, but you could do with putting spaces between the photo's, as they kinda merge together, which makes them more difficult to view. ;)

Sorry about that, I put in some spaces. I was very happy how they came out, with no real practice, I just wish I could justify an 85L.

I like this series -- captures the city's feel.
