I just installed PhotoShop Elements 3 and downloaded shots I took today in bright Ariizona sunlight. I shot in RAW 100 ISO and stops ranging f2.8 to f11. All the shots have burnt out areas on some colors in Elements, but on Digital Photo Professional they look great. Am I missing a setting on Elements?

How about a screen shot of what you are talking about? That'll hopefully make it easier for someone to help you out.

I probably am not doing it correctly, but I do not like the way RAW images appear in Elements 3. I use EOS View Utility to do my RAW work, then convert to JPG for the final stuff. I don't like the DPP interface as well as the EVU interface, or I'd use that instead.

I am still learning to post images here. I'll try. In the mean time it was a photo of my girlfriend standing in fron of yellow flowers. But on Element, much of the yellow was solid red sploches. As I sail they looked perfect on DPP.

Is this your first time to be using the raw converter in PSE3? If it is, you may need to set up your parameters (controls) so that the image looks the way your want it. Once you have it set up, things should be fine after that. Since I don't have PSE3 (I use PSCS which supposed has the same ACR as in PSE3) I'm going by the assumption that whatever is applicable to ACR is PSCS is also applicable to ACR in PSE3.
