Had a meeting over by the airport so I thought I would get a few quick pictures before the meeting. Alas the heavens opened up just as I got to the airport. Not to be deterred I found a good spot in the Humphrey ramp

The 400mm lens really compresses the depth perspective. The plane is several hundred feet in the background, but the picture makes it look like it is taking off over the cemetery.

Intresting about the perspective. When I first looked at it I thought it was over the cemetery but after reading your comment I can see it as being behind it. Anyway, good shots in tough conditions.

Thanks Frank, for the comments and the edit. I agree it needed something and could be better.

Here is my re-edit. Cloned the light by the cockpit, bumped the contrast and brightness a bit and more USM.

I guess I was a bit sloppy/lazy on my edits.:o I was hoping the rain would stop, so I could get some cool wet runway shots, but it drizzled all night.

I'm back on my laptop, so I won't comment on the re-edit. Sometimes nothing works. Sometimes I look at one weeks later & find a better look.
