Today I went to the UNC Charlotte Botanical gardens. I tried to be creative and not shoot the same old flower pics.

Thanks guys. There are many opertunities for flower pics around here. I'm always trying new close up ideas. I like doing this kind of photography because it is so easy to control the composition when taking a photo of something only a couple inches across. Also, there are endless things to take pictures of. If you're bored with photography, buy a 500D close up filter for your 70-200 or 100-400.

Great shots. I love 1 particularly. 2 is good too. You have given me a few ideas for today - I can't go to the zoo again or they will think I am a resident!
BTW its a Bank Holiday here today.

Thanks again guys.
I thought up a trick for next time I do close up work. I am going to bring a spray bottle full of water. I'll create my own dew. Has anyone ever tried that?
