Seems a little dark to me? Maybe a touch more fill light on the right hand side?

looks exactly like what I would expect under the title.

Looks professional.

Great expression, but the image is about 1 stop underexposed. You need a hair light to bighten up his hair. A 45° turn of his body and have him lean over the belt buckle would add some needed punch and pizzazz to the pose.

He seems red in the face to me....

I'm not sure about the crop...2/3 dosent seem right, I prefer 8/10 or 1/1 or even 4/5 for headshot's. Is this the final crop or is this the requested ratio?

Other than those nitpick's...not bad overall.

Too much headroom and about a stop underexposed. WB may be a tad red as well.

Subject looks very natural and comfortable though.

I'm pretty new at this but I agree with the others, dark/underexposed, skin looks a little too orange/red, and too much headroom, all of which should be fairly easy to fix in post processing. Otherwise it looks good!

I with Benji, get him at 45◦ to the cam and have lean forward a bit to both engage us and reduce the double chin.

Slightly underexposed and red in the face. You did a nice job though!

I like it! At this point it may be a little too late to retake the shot. However increasing the exposure a tad bit and fixing his complexion to be a little less red (as mentioned already by others) will make this picture very usable for corporate purposes.

Other than the head room it looks like you shot slightly down on the subject which with execs its usually better to have the camera just slightly lower than eye level to give the exec stature. Not bad though.

From one who's done this;) Very well.

Overall, it's nice (but red). Few thoughts...

Open coat and off-centre tie do create a casual look. The expression looks friendly and considerate, but also looks pretty meek and questioning. Definitely crop a bit from the top, and I'm with Allen on shooting from lower than eye level to suggest a bit more confidence.

Not sure if you had any say in selecting the clothes, so won't comment other than to say that the lighting gives the shirt a sheen that makes it look polyester (whether it is or not is another issue).

As is, this projects "middle management" rather than "exec" to my mind, which of course might be quite appropriate, or might not....

Cheers, Tony

I know we have had so many comments, but one that comes to mind with me after all the changes is whether the client requested the sqaure format?

Square frames are not so common and I'm not sure the intended purpose for this shot.

Much better! That's a great improvement.

Comp. is dead middle, tie needs some adjusting. It's very low keyed except for his face, wish either his clothing or the background were brighter and just a shade more colorful.

The shot isn't that bad.. there are a few issues that should be looked into if shooting again. There is no separation of his shoulders from the background. I might suggest that you put in a floor light to brighten the background with the fall off happening right about shoulder level.

Alternatively put in a kicker light onto his right shoulder to add separation that way.

just my thought.

Matt.
