I need to create a portfolio.
I think I understand what kind of pics to take now but I dont know how to put one together.

Does it go in a small binder style format?

I have no idea.

Can someone help or at least give me keywords to search in google?

First,
What is the portfolio going to be used for?
- Some can get away with 8x10 (or 8.5x11 which I do), some need 9x12 (and other weird sizes). I know one model that wanted digital so she could print out 16x20's for her portfolio.
- Some can be loose pictures, others need them bound (like a wedding album)
- Some just want them for the web (which is most models I work with).

Second, I highly recommend you visit, www.onemodelplace.com and check out the forums on that site to get a better answer for your question. It is full of models and photographers who shoot models.
