Seeing some clouds building late in the afternoon, I drove to Lake Junaluska in hopes of seeing a sunset. Turned out to be a good move. In the first, just as the sunset was getting underway, a small boat sped across the scene. The second is the height of the sunset. Both taken with 10-22 mm, only post-processing was re-sizing.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Despite some rainy periods, we have really enjoyed our visit to North Carolina and Tennesee. The mountains around here are wonderful.

Love both of them, but #2 is my favorite.....reflection doubles the color. Nothing like free color!

Boomer, tbird & Airedale1. Many thanks for your kind words. The shots were easy. The hard part is finding a good place and being there at the right time.

"...only post-processing was re-sizing."
Great shots! Very pretty. What settings/parameters were you using in your camera to get that great color saturation without any post-processing?

Thanks, fellas. Both shots were at ISO 100. The first at 1/50 sec, f 5.6, 22 mm. The second at 1/30 sec, f 5.0, 22 mm. I normally shoot in AV or manual, so I was just looking for enough shutter speed to handhold. It really was the sunset, rather than photographic skill.
