She should be really pleased. I like the black best I think. .. maybe because his shoulder is in the shot. All of them are good. .. but the black shows his healthy sheen best... probably because of his color. I like the backlit eyelashes on the grey. The bay looks a tad more casual than the other two. ( all horses are not equal when it comes to keeping their attention.. LOL .. don't ask how I know that)
Good deal about the good swap.

I like the third best because of its positioning in the frame, but they are all very nice.

Thanks everyone :-) I think the guy in the third pic there maybe put his ears forward for a whole second while we were shooting him. He was being very stubborn about it! He's had a tough time of it though, so I don't blame him. While with his previous owners he developed a large sarcoid (tumor like thing) on his face, and it was the size of a large baseball. I saw the pictures, it was just nasty!
Anyhow, the people refused to treat it anymore and let him rot away in a pasture. He couldn't eat or drink because of the sarcoid on his jaw. The neglectful jerks finally gave him back to his original owners who have been treating him extensively since last fall and he's much better now. If you look in this pic closely at his lip, you can see where it's droopy, and there's still a little bit of a hole left there in his lip. Picture a big, rotting black mass of flesh the size of a grapefruit on there and you can imagine how bad of shape he was in. I think he has sad eyes still. Poor guy, at least he's in a MUCH better place now where he's being properly cared for.

Kat, that lotion I sent you eliminates topical viruses as well.. (ie: sarcoids). I'm glad they got it under control. I really like your second set of shots! Even though he's got a bit of a scar, I think the portrait of the bay is Really nice!

I've got to check the mail today, see if that wonder potion is there yet ;-) Just on a shower break between shooting the dressage show and heading to the wedding. I'm not sure I'll be functioning come Monday after a 3 day horse show and a wedding! TG for good friends and neighbours who are cleaning stalls and such for me!

I think with the white horse I would have tried to stay away from having him up against the white fence. But gorgeous horses!Great shots, they can be pretty stubborn sometimes :-)

I actually put the white horse by the white fence on purpose because I like the effect ;) But life would be pretty boring if we all liked the same things :D
