Don't feel bad...the other night I resorted to shooting my cat due to lack of anyone willing to pose....
Love the camera pics. How did you set this up if you don't mind me asking?

White muslin for BG. Set up a small serving table about 4 feet away and put foamboard on top of the table to get that white look.
One strobe with shoot through umbrella camera left really close (like a feet away) to the subject to get good coverage with softer light. The other strobe with reflector that came with it pointed at the BG blowing it out. I had a white colored box handy which I placed on subject right to bring out the details.
Since the muslin is creased pretty badly, I couldn't blow it out completely. I almost did....almost! (Damn!) So I used the magic wand tool in PS to select the area where it wasn't blown out, applied some feathering and then increased the brightness. I did my usual PP after that. (Curves + USM mainly)
Nothing too complicated.

These are Great shots :), if you want a cleaner reflection on the lens use a softbox instead of an umbrella, but overall you did great.
Now if you excuse me I will go and die of a heart attack after watching that yummy combination of camera and lens. :P

Yes, a softbox is on my to-buy list.
Not right now. Still getting over the damage of buying the lights, etc!:(;)
