I found some old theater that looked interesting and I think these are my two favorite shots. I took a lot of pictures and thought they all looked better in black and white. I would like to know what you guys think.
Thanks.

I think the first is better but i don't feel particular emotions.

If there was a person, or a particular object, i think will be different.

I agree with the above and would add some contrast.

reminds me of that show "life after people".. kinda cool but not captivating.

I took some shots from a lower position but didn't like them as much.

The first in the second set rocks! Much better perspective for me!

+1 :)

Also IMHO the second one in the second set is better than the first two.

I like the first picture in each set a lot. In the very first pic it would have been kinda cool to have one random person sitting there as if they were watching a show. Then again, that may have screwed the whole picture up too lol.

Good pics tho.

For photo 1, what is the subject? What am I supposed to look at? I'm not really sure. Are the seats the subject? If so, why include half the photo of concrete?

They kind of remind me of Kodak CN 400 film.

I'm finding that with B&W it's all about the light and he gradation thereof. It really makes me think about what "stands out" as far as lighting. This inherently implies attention to contrast, which I tend to seek in B&W to activate it's real potential. One can add this drama in PP as well.

**Note the contrast and lighting in the first shot in the second set. Proof positive.**

Well thanks for the comments. I guess I like different ones than most people on here.
