Hi guys, I recently got a 5D2 and Im impressed with all features this camera offers, and was curious to know if theres anyway you can use VIDEO on AUTO mode, I mean is there any way we can focus without MANUAL FOCUS.

I saw a video of guy who made his own stabilizer and never move anything on the lens, and the video was on focus during all the video.

thanks

Stop down aperture and pre-focus on something that will be at the most common distance for your clip. Video will be reasonably in focus.

Then again it depends also on where you view it. On big HDTV I can even see focus errors in big TV shows :).

you can shoot in auto exposure modes..

but there is no auto focus for the 5D whatsoever...what you probably didnt notice on the camera was an electronic follow focus..or as said above, he was stopped down considerably and stayed within the focal distance during the entire shot/scene
