This is the first time I have ever seen this. Icicles in a Lilac bush. Even in winter I have never seen this but to see this on May 1st is a shocker! Usually in Alberta it isn't this cold but these pictures are a first that I am going to show you. I have never seen this before and I might not ever see this again!

I'll say! May is not supposed to be below zero at night. Guess the only good thing about this cold is that the lawn wont need to be mowed for sometime now :)

I lived the first 40 years of my life in southern Alberta. I have seen snow in each month of the year and now just a little. We had a freak storm in July one year that dumped about 8 inches of snow across the south. Basically flattened the crops.
Nice shots but this will happen again.

It always happens. I remember when I was 12 I slept over at a friends house in the summer. When we woke up it was snowing outside and that was in August. The only month I can't remember seeing snow in it is July. And that's it. But today was nice and sunny and the only cold was when there was wind so seems like spring is returning here. :)
