I try to take extra time before hitting the shutter to avoid distractors in the background, but I always seem to fail. The big white blob out of his head really annoys me. It seems like I spend most of my time in PS anymore. Oh well, I'm through complaining...here's my latest.

I hope the softness of that shot was PS'd in and not a natural shot from the lens, I just ordered that lens and was hoping for sharper picture than that! I see what you mean about the white blob, it does look a bit odd :D

Urgh, where's the detail on his face? I don't like it at all.

Yes, the lense is very sharp. The softness and contrast was intentional for the client.
