McDonalds Air and Sea Show (56K warning)

This show is held annually in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

My wife was not feeling well so I got there early afternoon Saturday and did not get to spend as much time shooting as I wanted. Sunday was a dreary overcast day so most of the pictures from Sunday are pretty crappy. It was still a good time.

The fighters were actually side by side but by the time I took the shot they were past me and the perspective makes it look like they are following one another.

I love air shows. I just had an opportunity to shoot an air-show last weekend, but the weather was awful. I got a few shot but none worth posting. The boats were and added bonus. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

I didn't get to go this year. My neighbor had "connections" so she would always let me have the VIP tickets that get to sit in that empty and spacious part of the beach that isn't crowded.

She didn't get any this year and I was busy on Saturday. I was thinking about going on Sunday but the day was disgusting. I think that airshow died slowly, though. There used to be alot more planes in the early years and they would fly super close to the beach and through buildings (I saw one of the blue angels fly building level through buildings....it was so freaken awesome). And the B1 lancers flying low over the crowd at the brink of breaking the sound barrier was intense.

I'm such a hardcore plane lover that I once went when I had a broken leg. I was on crutches so I walked miles and miles on them just to see the show. I had huge biceps that night.

And yes that's an F86 Sabre.
