Sadly, we had to put our 18 year old Lab mix to sleep. There was such a void in the house with him being gone, that 2 days later we got a puppy. She has been such a wonderful distraction, and she has the sweetest disposition.

Couple days later....getting comfortable with her new digs.

Not the best quality shots. Used on board flash.
Thanks for looking!

We're thinking Shepherd with either Malamute or Collie. Not sure. She's going to be huge though. 30 pounds at 15 weeks!

I'm kinda with you on that. Gave her a bath the other day, and the water pretty much rolled off her....:( Having been a pro groomer, and in the veterinary world for the past 20 years, Not sure I'm ready for a northern breed. But hey, she's mine and I'll do what it takes to keep her coat in check. Good thing I live where it snows!!

What a lovely puppy! At first, I thought that she may be one of the Japanese Spitz-like breeds - like a Shiba Inu but, the Shiba's are smaller than your puppy.
I know how a puppy can fill the void of a lost dear friend even when we think that void will never be filled. I lost Sara-Lee, my German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Wolf hybrid to cancer in 2007.
I wanted to replace her with an animal that had Golden Retriever blood but, didn't want to deal with the bushels of shedding - especially twice a year.
We settled on a Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever / Poodle) and we have had her for about 16 months now and she is the love of our life. Holly is sweet like a Golden and rambunctious like a poodle but, hardly sheds at all.
Here she is at four months. She is 60 pounds now and we think that she has attained her full growth.
