I know we're having a plethora of flower pics at the moment with summer just hitting us... and there's been some outstanding ones out there... i'd just like to add something if i could be so bold.
This afternoon has got to have been one of the loveliest days weatherwise. Jo and were sat in the close chatting with neighbours and at the same time i was playing with my new filters i bought yesterday... and this was the perfect subject. I used a polariser, and it made the world of difference to the photo i took for comparison without a polariser.

thank you for the kind comments... unfortunately the image doesn't show up as well as it could on the board here... something to do with colorspace in photoshop [that i don't fully understand... yet] ... i'm working on it and if i get it right, then i'll post it again... but thank you once more.
if you cut and paste it into photoshop [with adobe rgb], it gets back some of it's brightness... can someone confirm this to me on their machine?

Perfectly lovely. I for one doubt I'll get tired of pretty flower pictures any time soon.
I've also noticed that Photoshop (a super-duper old version in my case) displays images slightly differently than other programs (image browsers or web browsers). I believe Photoshop applies a different (brighter) gamma curve to the images it displays. And I'm guessing that has something to do with Photoshop's Macintosh origins; Mac displays are calibrated to be brighter than PC displays, and I bet PC Photoshop brightens the images it shows to match the Mac version.
